Privacy Policy

Overview

Screenshotidy is a desktop-first application. Your screenshots and OCR data are processed and stored locally on your Mac by default. We only collect what's needed to provide the service.

What stays on your device

• Your screenshot files and imported images
• OCR-extracted text
• Tags, notes, and organizational metadata
• Local search indices
• Your API keys when using BYOK mode

What we collect

• Account data: Email address and authentication tokens when you create an account for activation or Pro features.
• AI processing: When you use cloud AI features (vision descriptions, smart tags), screenshot data is sent to our servers or third-party AI providers (Google Gemini, OpenAI) for processing. We do not store these images after processing.
• Cloud storage: If you opt into cloud backup / sync (Pro plan), your screenshots and metadata are stored on our servers encrypted at rest.
• Analytics: Anonymous usage analytics (app opens, feature usage) via Vercel Analytics. No screenshot content is included.
• Payment: Payment processing is handled by Stripe. We do not store your credit card details.

• Vercel — web hosting and analytics
• Google Gemini / OpenAI — AI vision processing (only when you use cloud AI credits or BYOK)

Data deletion

You can delete your account and all associated cloud data at any time from the app settings. Local data on your Mac is only accessible and deletable by you.
